fasteners are a kind of mechanical parts which are used for fastening and connecting. Fasteners, industry widely used, including energy, electronics, electrical appliances, machinery, chemical industry, metallurgy, mold, hydraulic, and so on, in all kinds of machinery, equipment, vehicles, ships, railways, Bridges, buildings, structures, tools, instruments, chemical industry, instrument and apparatus, such as the above, you can see all kinds of fasteners, is the most widely used mechanical components. It is characterized by a wide variety of specifications, performance and use of different, and the degree of standardization, serialization, generalization is also extremely high. Therefore, some people have a national standard of fasteners called standard fasteners, or referred to as standard parts.

The fastener industry in China was born in 1958, and its leapfrog development had already been in the process of brewing and testing before 1958. During the first five-year Plan period, China put forward the first batch of national and industrial standards based on the translation and transformation of Soviet standards. In this batch of national standards, GB2-121-58 a total of 120 standards are fastener standards. From 1959 to 1960, the former First Ministry of Machinery Industry approved and promulgated JB9-72-59 and JB123-161-60 General Standards for Machinery Industry.

These national standards and the general standards of machinery industry have initially formed the "first generation fastener standard west" of our country in this system, the national standard covers the most universal bolt, screw, wood screw, nut, washer, rivets and pins in 7 kinds of products. The General Standard for Machinery Industry is more than the national standard for studs (also known as double-headed studs, double-headed bolts, stud workers retaining rings, self-tapping screws, special-shaped fasteners and non-ferrous metal fasteners, etc.

In recent years, the output of China's fastener industry is in a stable growth trend. In 2014, the overall output of China's fastener industry was 7.2 million tons, which increased to 7.28 million tons in 2015, and 7.42 million tons in 2016. In 2017, the overall output has reached 7.47 million tons, and the whole year of 2018 has reached 7.6 million tons.

In 2018, driven by the automobile, high-speed rail, aviation and other industries, the general machinery parts industry showed a steady growth in the first quarter of 2018, with steady growth of enterprise income, continuous improvement of operation and good trend of product import and export. The total output value of the industry was about 85.6 billion Yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 6.4%, showing a trend of stable development. In 2018, China's exports of mechanical and electrical products reached 9.65 trillion yuan, up 7.9 percent, accounting for 58.8 percent of the country's total export value, 0.4 percentage points higher than in 2017. Exports of automobiles and mobile phones grew by 8.3% and 9.8%, respectively. Fasteners were worth about 5.896 billion US dollars and 3.068 million tons. The concentration of general equipment manufacturing enterprises is not high, and there are many small and medium-sized enterprises in China, so the competition in low-end products is fierce. In terms of regional distribution of fastener products, the regional concentration of fastener manufacturing is high in China. Specifically, the vast majority of manufacturing enterprises are concentrated in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Shandong and Guangdong.
